PSEG Gas/Tilcon will be milling Cedar Lane beginning on 10/31/24 and paving the following week. This will cause multiple closures on Cedar lane. Police Officers will be present to conduct traffic control and assist residents who reside in the affected area in accessing their homes/businesses. Please follow the posted detours. There is NO recycling pick up on Wednesday, October 30 this week. The next recycling pick up (glass, aluminum, plastic and tin only) will be on Wednesday, November 6. The River Vale Recycling Center is open for drop off on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. School is closed November 7 & 8 but Fitness with Friends and the Township of River Vale are here to help! Register for 1 or 2 days of sports, games, art and fun at the Mark Lane Sports Complex 9-12:30pm. Coach Joel will lead the kids in games like kickball, wiffle ball, flag football, soccer, gaga ball, relay races and more! Art hour will be provided as well for any child who is interested. Due to a water main break at Lower Grove field, River Vale Town Hall and the Public Library will have a delayed opening on Wednesday, October 16. We anticipate reopening Town Hall at 12pm, depending on when the water main is repaired. Please check with the River Vale Public Library for their hours of operation on Wednesday. Thank you.
