Over 650 runners, walkers, and trotters, many festively dressed, took to the streets of River Vale on Thanksgiving morning — and together made a real impact for our community!
Proceeds from the event resulted in a donation of $2,500 to the River Vale Volunteer Ambulance Corps and $5,000 to the Helping Hand Food Pantry. A total donation of $7,500 made to our community!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make it happen:
• To the Township of River Vale for helping us host this amazing event — and to the River Vale Police Department, the Pascack Valley Department of Public Works and the River Vale Volunteer Ambulance Corps for helping ensure safety, setup, and breakdown- they always go above and beyond!
• To Triple Platinum Entertainment — DJ Anthony kept the energy high and fun all morning (let us know if you would like him at your next event)!
• Wally’s Hot Bagel Nosh for fueling our runners with bagels, Signarama for the event signage, M&T Bank for providing incredible volunteers and 7-11 River Vale for providing FREE Slurpees.
• To ALL the volunteers, adults and kids (the day before and day of)— your help was essential and we truly couldn’t have done this without you- THANK YOU!
• To Blue Cheetah Sports Timing LLC for timing our runners and ensuring smooth operations
• While this was not a competitive event, we do want to give a shoutout and congratulations to the fastest runners- some who are River Vale residents!
