Large Branch & Heavy Wood Collection

Mondays, weekly beginning Monday, April 1 through September 2024, weather permitting.

No Collection

There will be no collection of large branches and heavy woods on the following dates:

  • Memorial Day, May 27

  • Labor Day, September 2

They will be collected the following Tuesday of these weeks.

Rules

Please observe the following rules:

Large Branches

  • Branches must be over 2 inches in diameter.

  • Branches must be cut to between 4-10 feet in length

  • Place cut end facing the roadway.

  • Do not place branches in the roadway or blocking fire hydrants.

Heavy Wood

  • Wood must not to exceed 75 pounds in weight.

  • Tree trunks, fire wood, roots or root balls, etc. are the only acceptable woods.

  • Place by the curb by 7 a.m. each Monday.

Recycle Coach APP

The Township of River Vale has arranged for our recycling information to be a part of a convenient mobile app called RECYCLE COACH. Our data has been uploaded and the app is ready for residents to download. Simply search RECYCLE COACH in the App Store or on Google Play.

You can even enable the Recycle Coach skill on Alexa or Google Home!

Recycle Coach will provide the option for push notifications and/or email notifications which will remind residents of which recycling category to place curbside on the appropriate dates.

If you do not have a smart phone, you can also access Recycle Coach on your desktop computer.
