| The Shade Tree Committee is responsible for restoring and maintaining
River Vale's tree population. Trees in the Township provide beauty and
utility.
The Shade Tree
Committee recognizes the value and believes that trees are one of our
town's greatest assets. The Shade Tree Committee promotes the conservation
and stewardship of trees throughout the Township by advising government
officials regarding planting, care and maintenance of trees on township-owned
lands. The Committee will assist River Vale residents by increasing
awareness of the benefits of arboriculture and providing advice and information
regarding the selection, planting and care of trees.
