Discovery and Records Request for discovery must be made in writing to the attention of Sgt. Gary Blumenthal and mailed to Police headquarters. Defense attorneys will be billed for cost when mailed. Citizens needing copies of accident reports, or reports regarding any non-criminal complaint must make payment when they pick up the report(s). Ordinance No. 0-9-99 An ordinance amending section 57B of the code of the Township of River Vale - "Police Department Fees." BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of River Vale that Section 57B of the Code of the Township of River Vale is hereby amended as follows: Section I: Section 57B-1: Fees for reports and photographs The Police Department is hereby authorized to charge the following fees for services provided: A. Accident reports and police records requested via mail: five dollars ($5.) for the first three (3) pages. One dollar ($1.) per page additionally, beginning with page four (4). B. Discovery to attorneys or defendants: five dollars ($5.) for the first three (3) pages, one dollar ($1.) per page beginning with page four (4). C. Accident reports and police reports picked up at Police Headquarters: fifty cents ($.50) per page. D. Photographs: three dollars ($3.) each E. Public Defenders of the Township requesting discovery will receive all discovery information free of charge. Section II: This Ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
