The River Vale Farmers Market kicked off its 12th season on Thursday, June 26.
Our Garden State growers offer a variety of fresh produce - morning fresh and ready for your tables! We're ready to offer you corn, blueberries and Jersey-safe tomatoes as well as a bountiful host of other produce.
Our motto is "If it's Jersey Fresh ---- We've got it!!!"

The River Vale Farmers Market is open once a week,
every Thursday from 12 noon to 6pm rain or shine
from June 26, 2008 to October 30, 2008.
*Senior coupons will be distributed on August 7th 1pm to 3pm. $20 coupons to be applied to the purchase of New Jersey produce.

But, we've also cornered the market on specialty gourmet foods and we think that you won't be disappointed! Stop by and sample the best fresh mozzarella in the country. We also have champagne Maryland crab cakes, gourmet seafood and fresh pasta from Panzarella Foods. Want more? Try our frozen pizzas, sausage and soups from Pie Eyed Pies. The pizzas are so tasty that you'll want to stock up for the entire week! Paul's Pickles also offers olives, stuffed mushrooms, peppers, sauerkraut and green tomatoes in addition to pickles.
Need a caffeine boost while you shop? Check out the newest addition to our market, grounded. coffee catering offering delectable coffee, both hot and iced, espresso drinks and tea. They pride themselves on being environmentally friendly by using organic milks, sugar, honey and fair trade whole beans as well as 100% recycled napkins and compostable petroleum-free cups.
We can't forget the Amish Country Bakery which brings us mouth watering cookies, pies, and baked goods as well as cheese and butter all the way from Pennsylvania Dutch country.
Our Jersey Farmers deserve a special note of thanks. Bob Von Thun from Von Thun's Farm comes from southern Jersey each week and has been for 9 years now. He has 160 acres devoted to vegetables alone, plus more for flowers and herbs. His team makes the 1 1/2 hour drive to River Vale each week with a truck packed with just picked produce to be delivered practically at our doorsteps!
Our neighbors from Stokes Farm are a welcome addition to our crew. They have been part
of the market for the past 4 years and we are thrilled to support a local farm. They offer a variety Jersey Fresh produce along with some of the most divine heirloom tomatoes and herbs in the state!
Our Farmer's Market also offers flowers and plants in addition to the bakery items and specialty goods as our list of available products changes and grows.
The Township of River Vale is hosting this market as a community service to area residents.

*The County of Bergen division of Senior Services is offering food coupons to eligible, low-income seniors. Eligible seniors can receive up to four $5 coupons redeemable at The River Vale Farmer's Market on Thursday, July 17th from 12 noon to 3 PM.
Applicants must be Bergen County residents at least 60 years of age, and must meet income requirements. If you have any questions about eligibility please call the Dept of aging for more information at 201-336-7400. Interested seniors must apply with a form provided by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services which will be available at the Farmer's Market. The food coupons are part of the New Jersey Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program. The Office On Aging will assist seniors with their applications at the Farmer's Market.
Federal and state nutrition experts recommend eating five or more servings of fruits and vegetables a day for good health. The Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program helps eligible seniors to meet this dietary recommendation.
