5th Annual BiState Watershed Cleanup held 4/29

The 5th Annual Bistate Watershed Cleanup that took place in River Vale on April 29th was a huge success. Together with a record number of volunteers, the River Vale Green Team collected over 1,400lbs of trash, 250lbs of metal and 7 tires from our watershed areas which included Lake Tappan, Ranges Field, Lower Grove and the Community Center. Our appreciation and thanks to everyone involved which included students from NVOT Environmental Club, River Vale local elementary and PV high school students, local Cub, Boy and Girl Scouts and Pascack Rotary. Thanks also to the Pascack Valley Dept. of Public Works for their assistance and Barbara Coleman of the Park Ridge Green Team for coordinating this massive effort with surrounding towns every year.
